Hello, my name is Heather Gunter,
This is my 13 th year in Education ranging from Preschool to High School and a few rewarding years in
Special Education. I attended RCC and SOU and primarily worked as a Reading Specialist. I am on my 2 nd
year at Buttercup Hill teaching art, math and science. I am a wife of 23 years and a mom to a 22-year-
old College Student. When not at school you can usually find me walking my dogs (I have three) or
working on various wood and craft projects.

Hi Friends,
I am so lucky to have started my education career here at ButterCup Hill. I received my BS in Elementary Education from George Fox University and will be continuing my education at GFU for my MAT. My high school sweetheart and I have two wonderful children; a little boy and a little girl. When not at school you can find me spending time with my family, baking, or doing all manner of DIY home remodeling projects.
Katie Goetsch
Pre-Kindergarten
Studied Early Childhood Devlopment at WSU, Pullman
Grew up on a small family dairy farm near Spokane Wa. Met my husband at WSU and we began traveling with his work. Have lived in Louisiana, Idaho, Wisconsin, Colorado, British Columbia, and now Oregon where we are raising our two children. Both of which are Buttercup alum.
Jamie Nelson

I grew up in Boise, Idaho before making Oregon my home after college. I’m married to my amazing husband and we have two fantastic children and one labradoodle. When I’m not pouring my heart and soul into Buttercup or enjoying quality time with my kids you can find me organizing or helping run my best friend’s Etsy shops while listening to podcasts. My family loves adventuring around Oregon, road-tripping to Idaho to visit family, and escaping to Disneyland.

Kindergarten
Laura Stehno has been a teacher for over thirty years. She is still amazed by how much she continues to learn from her students as well as other educators. Laura has been married for 31 years and has a 23 year old son who attends college in Utah.
Allison Saucy
Music
BA in Theatre, Willamette University
Allie is a mother of three, wife of one, and human to two (cats!). Prior to Buttercup, she spent nearly a decade teaching early childhood music and movement to children and their grownups. When she’s not at work, her days are spent cultivating her houseplants, doing her best to read her way through the entire library, and carting her very active children all around town.
